Insta360 have made a highly spec camera in a small camera package. The new Insta360 Pro 2 is the follow on model from last year’s first. Insta have packed in a large amount of technology and made the underlying firmware robust and reliable to the point it can be considered for professional production.
The camera remains built around 6x 220° lenses, however the system features new sensors with more dynamic range, and crucially considerably less compression rates of 120Mbps in H.265 codec.
In terms of image quality, the system is sharp with new improved lenses, and a higher recording resolution/frame-rate of up to 8K square at 30fps in 3D 360 and 60fps in mono 360. Lowering the capture resolution enables high frame rate capture up to 120fps at 4K, or a video HDR mode.
The camera records to 6 microSD cards and features a much more reliable wireless monitoring/control system which works much further than previously at up to 300m. The minimum distance remains set at around 2 metres so it is not a camera for every situation, however for the majority of shooting styles it is an excellent standard package.

Great service, everything quick and easy, no problems what so ever, kit came in a post the next day and has a baggy to post it back to them, postage already pre-paid so all you have to do is drop it at the post office. Very convenient, guys are helpful, will definitely use again!
